An explanation about the tree. Paul, Mark and I hiked to the "Big Tree" in Mellors Canyon last summer and discovered that the tree had died. Notice how high about the other trees it had grown. The surrounding trees are about 50 feet high. We know it was much larger than the saws could cut in 1920, so it was pretty big then. I wonder how old it is. I'm adding a photo of the tulips in my yard 2012, and one of Mark and Paul by the big tree. (I hope)

Wow! It has been a long time since I posted anything. Life is good, but going way too fast. Spring surrounds me with blossoms of all kinds. What a wonderful time of renewal with great expectations for more blooms and a harvest of food, though I will be lucky if I have tomatoes let alone anything else. I'm sure the peach blossoms froze and the apple blossoms are few in number.
