Well, here is the view from my eyes. Still a week to go before I get to have it off. I am not looking forward to rehab. I thought I might die when my thumb was manipulated to the correct position for the cast. So did the little boy in a stroller by me. I thought he was going to cry as he watched me. I wish I had a photo of his face.
No, really I will be quite relieved to be rid of the darn thing!
It has become quite cool here but, no snow. I have been able to find one coat that fits over the cast. It is a Sunday coat, so at least I can keep warm on Sunday! I do have one denim jacket I bought in Prescott at a thrift store that fits also. It keeps me warm in the house. I paid $2.00 for it. This coat problem has really put a crimp in dog exercise (and mine). We are both getting fat. Ug
AJ Thanks for the lotion idea. I stretched it a bit and lotion up my leg, that way I can get the whole arm and hand. Madi is headed off to work at a game store in the mall, while Chili and I are lounging around the house. I now have hunt and peck overload-so I'm signing off now.

ONE-HANDED LIVING

THIS WILL BE SHORT! Hunt and peck with one hand is the PITTS! Had surgery on my right hand to rebuild the big thumb joint and pin the little finger. It is quite a challenge to function without the dominate hand. Can anyone tell me how to put lotion on one's left hand without a right hand? I tried a photo of my hand - no luck. I have a soft cast now, will have a hard cast come Monday. It will stay on for two or three weeks, then I will have custom splints for a couple more weeks. Then it will be rehab and try to learn to use it again. No piano or organ for a while Argggggg. Love to all What are you doing for Thanksgiving?
